We are looking for an exceptionally experienced and creative Baker to lead our pastry and dessert program. This role requires a strong foundation in baking a wide variety of pastries, the ability to follow and adapt recipes based on seasonal or customer demands, and ownership of the creative development of new baked goods for our dessert menu.
Key Responsibilities:
Bake a variety of high-quality pastries, cakes, and other desserts consistently and efficiently.
Adapt and execute recipes based on changing menus, customer preferences, and special requests.
Lead creative development of new baked items and contribute to the evolution of the dessert menu.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste.
Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to align pastry offerings with the overall brand and seasonal themes.
Train and supervise junior baking staff if applicable.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of professional baking experience, with strong pastry focus.
Proven creativity and innovation in dessert creation and presentation.
Ability to follow and adapt recipes with precision.
Strong understanding of baking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety protocols.
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Passionate about creating memorable dessert experiences for customers.
Bonus Skills (Not Required but Preferred):
Experience with plated desserts for dine-in service.
Previous experience designing or leading dessert menus.
Background in Southeast Asian or fusion-style pastries (if applicable to your brand).
