As a Shunt Truck Operator, you'll play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring efficient and secure movement of trailers and the accurate handling of products within our warehouse, all while upholding our high standards of food safety and workplace integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely move trailers to and from dock doors and throughout the property
  • Complete and document daily pre-trip inspections
  • Report and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ensure load security and safety compliance
  • Complete paperwork and tracking documentation as required
  • Inspect and prepare trailers and pallets for shipping
  • Load and unload transport vehicles
  • Verify orders against Bill of Lading
  • Accurately complete required documentation using the "Wow" inventory system
  • Complete vessel inspections and maintain shipping/receiving logs
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and tools
  • Follow all safety and food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid 1A class license mandatory
  • 1 - 3 years trucking or shunting experience
  • Ability to operate 53ft. trailers including backing up.
  • A valid forklift operator license (or willingness to obtain one in Saskatchewan)
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Minimum 6 months experience in food manufacturing, forklift operations and shipping/receiving duties in warehouse environments preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physically capable of working in an outside environment with exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions

Hours of work:

This position will be working a 12-hr modified shift schedule, including weekend and night shifts.
