Our client, an employer at the forefront of their industry, is searching for an energetic, technically competent driven next key hire for the role of Chief Technology Officer. Using bespoke production and performance technology, our clients aim is to create a product that is not only sustainable lithium battery technology, cost effective and of superior quality, but that is also constantly evolving to continuously keep themselves relevant, from the perspective of both environmental impact and social responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Establish product and production technology development for lithium anode products and lithium metal
• In charge of the creation of a battery testing program, battery testing & metrology
• Overseeing the growth of the scientific and engineering teams
• Manage industrial collaboration partnerships
• Offer industrialization, commercialization & scale-up support
• Establish and execute IP strategies for companys products and technologies
• Be a technical representative of the company in a private & public setting

Requirements:

• PhD or Masters degree and/or equivalent experience (10+ years) in battery development or related fields.
• Extensive knowledge of surface characterization techniques (XPS, Raman, FT-IR, etc.) and battery electrochemical testing methods
• Previous experience in testing lithium metal anodes and lithium metal batteries with both solid- and liquid-electrolyte cell designs preferred
• Previous experience in physical vapor deposition (PVD) is a plus
