We are currently seeking a Full-Time permanent Solutions Designer to join our team in a remote capacity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the needs and goals of the users and the stakeholders, by translating them into feasible and desirable solutions. You'll work on all stages of projects, including ideation, prototyping, testing and implementation.

You'll take ownership of evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the solutions and making recommendations for improvement or iteration.

This role is ideal for you if you enjoy solving business problems with software solutions.

Location

  • This is a remote opportunity, candidates will be considered across Canada, with preference for Toronto, ON; and
  • Regular hours of work are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday, from time-to-time additional hours may be required to support business needs.

Under the supervisor of the Channel Optimization Director, the duties and responsibilities of the Solutions Designer include, but are not limited to, the following:

Systems Maintenance

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting existing operating systems including Salesforce, Google Suite, Demand IQ, Aerialytics, Scanifly, Groove, and Dialpad;
  • Configuring and optimizing existing systems based on feedback from the team's day-to- day usage and evolving business needs;
  • Managing user access and assigning applicable permissions of existing systems including adding, removing and configuring as necessary for users;
  • Analyzing and reconciles data across systems by identifying and updating missing or incomplete fields, resolving integration issues and broken linkages, and ensuring consistency and accuracy of information between sources; and
  • Monitoring up time of integrations and troubleshoots as required.

Current Projects

  • Integrating and launching a new proposal design tool;
  • Deploying an AI chat bot on Sunly's website to improve website user support;
  • Enhancing the franchise user experience on Salesforce;
  • Launching an inventory management system;
  • Building client experience pathways using Pardot; and
  • Revising website structure to improve visitor experience and navigation.

Active and Upcoming Projects

  • Initial assessment and qualification of any new software;
  • Integrating new software into existing systems;
  • Configuration of new software systems; and
  • Coding software systems as required, (in particular Apex, SQL, HMTL, JavaScript) to
    improve functionality and automate tasks.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field;
  • Minimum Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a Solutions Designer or a similar role;
  • Additional certifications in Salesforce, Zapier, project management (PMP), or software implementation are assets;
  • Proven experience designing, building and implementing systems across multiple platforms;
  • Working knowledge of Apex, SQL, HMTL, JavaScript;
  • Hands on experience using CRM, marketing tools, and collaboration tools such as Salesforce (including configuration and integration), Pardot, Groove, Google Suite and Dialpad;
  • Intermediate proficiency in design software such as Canva and social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram, and social media management tools such as Loomly;
  • Intermediate understanding of web platforms including Squarespace and financial systems such as Square and QuickBooks;
  • Exposure to door knocking and solar design software, or a willingness to learn is an asset (Demand IQ, Aerialytics, Open Solar, and Scanifly);
  • Understanding of reporting tools such as Clicdata;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve systems issues;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable technical plans; and
  • Adaptable, comfortable working independently in a remote environment with changing priorities; and Curious mindset, detail oriented and proactive to spot inefficiencies.
