Our client is one of the largest global consultancies, testing and certification companies in the mining sector. They are in the middle of consolidating their technical services team into one Ontario-based operation, and are seeking the best in the industry to drive the new business unit forward.

With their team being nearly to completion, they are looking to identify and onboard a Senior Metallurgist who has a range of General experience to aid in the ongoing development and growth of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Merging of proprietary metallurgical energy modelling data and processes alongside JKTech systems, into new systems for innovation metallurgy processes on behalf of clients
• Technical expertise in extractive metallurgy; a mix of Hydrometallurgy & Comminution
• Ability to use mathematical models to describe lab test work and data analysis
• Team leadership and ongoing mentorship

Requirements:

• Post-graduate degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or other related field
• Experience working on site for a producing mine
• 10+ years experience in a Metallurgical testing and consulting capacity
• Broad experience across multi-asset, multi-commodity projects, primarily base/precious metals
• Meaningful experience in geometallurgy software METSIM, JKTech, Bilmat, Syscad
