Our client, a global leader in offering plant processing solutions and process control is seeking a QA/QC Engineer with a strong background in Fabrication with the majority in operational environments
The projects are mainly focused within Tank, agitator, and valve construction, testing, and commissioning, with project sites located globally. To excel in this role, it is important that you are able to multi-task and can work under pressure.
The offering is a mix of base compensation with additional travel bonus & company bonus.
Responsibilities
Review and creation of an Inspection and Test Plans of fabrication projects
Review and sign-off of NDT results from third parties
Development and management of Inspection Checklists for Tanks, Instruments, and valves.
Take charge over all QA/QC deliverables for a project
Review and uphold all applicable welding and design codes
Liaise with 3rd party vendors to ensure project directives are met
Management of 3rd party inspectors.
Review of reports from 3rd party inspectors.
Review of Test Reports and Manufacturer Data Books provided by tank fabricators and agitator suppliers.
Interface with client representatives to ensure seamless delivery of fabrications
Project deliverable management including FAT and PMI for welds, painting, and rubber lining
Requirements
Mechanical Engineer with 5 years relevant experience, OR 10 years of progressive experience within fabrication and management
In-depth experience within fabrication (tanks, valves, and testing)
Detailed understanding of steel surface cleaning and preparation and its qualification
Detailed understanding of rubber lining procedures and their qualification,
Detailed understanding of steel surface painting procedures and their qualification
Further understanding of welder qualifications and weld inspection records
Non-destructive test requirements and their repair procedures
Knowledge of various codes related to welding and fabrication
