What are the Responsibilities?
- The HR Generalist will be responsible for all things people! You will oversee key HR functions in support of a dynamic, well-rounded organization with 3 locations in BC & AB.
- Take the reins on recruitment and onboarding: this is a recruiting-heavy HR role, the successful Generalist will play a critical role in hiring for the business and being the first point of contact for applicants & new hires.
- Evaluate and revise the company's recruitment strategy, source and screen candidates, host initial interviews, ensuring strategy and people are aligned with company values.
- Represent the company and its people operations, presenting a warm, approachable, professional, and inclusive front.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure alignment, speed, and intentionality in every hire
- Own the onboarding and orientation processing, helping new hires feel like part of the team from day one.
- Manage payroll and benefits effectively, including pay runs for ~40 team members semi-monthly
- Support and encourage employee development via performance review coordination and training opportunities
- Maintain accurate employee records, support leadership by generating/providing insight into employee trends.
- Perform/help with general administrative duties, including ordering of supplies, organizing team events, coordinating cleaners, and receiving deliveries.

What are the Requirements?
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an HR Generalist, MUST have depth in recruitment and be willing/able to support a recruitment-heavy HR role.
- Deep understanding of employment standards and HR best practices, AB & BC employment law.
- Confident, professional, and service-oriented individual with a passion for people & making them feel like they belong!
- Must be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Tech-savvy, adept with Microsoft software, HRIS platforms and collaboration tools.
