Position Summary:

CSN Collision is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Body Prep technician to join our talented team. The Body Prep role is essential in preparing vehicles for the repair and painting process by ensuring surfaces are primed, smooth, and ready for finishing. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are meticulous about their work and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sand and prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by using the appropriate tools and materials
• Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas not to be painted
• Clean surfaces to remove dust, grease, and other contaminants
• Mix and apply primer according to industry standards
• Conduct quality checks to ensure surfaces are ready for paint application
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of spray painting equipment
• Work collaboratively with the painting team to maintain workflow and quality standards
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working in the shop
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Previous experience in body prep work or a related position is preferred
• Knowledge of sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques
• Familiarity with automotive paints, primers, and equipment
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Good time management skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent
