Job Title:
Landscape Maintenance Crew Member
Main Purpose of Job:
Landscape maintenance crew members help to maintain beautiful outdoor spaces for our commercial and residential clients.
Reports to:
Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the goals and objectives of Wild Ridge Landscapes, including the building of a company culture that is always respectful, inclusive, motivated to provide excellent results and to constantly be growing in knowledge and skills
- Ensuring a safe workplace
- Planting, weeding, pruning and mulching gardens
- Lawn cutting with sitting and push mowers
- Lawn trimming with trimmers
- General site cleanup and vehicle and shop cleaning etc.
- Safely working with and around equipment is a key part of this job training will be provided
- Safe handling of gasoline, oils, diesel fuels, concrete adhesives etc.
- Leaf, litter and debris cleanup may be required in fall
- Manual labour including digging, sodding, handling stone and concrete products may be required
Qualifications:
- Heavy lifting is a requirement and key part of the job
- Willingness to work in all types of weather (rain, cold and hot temperatures)
- Willingness to accommodate irregular work schedules (some long shifts or Saturday work requested)
Working Conditions:
- In early spring and late fall maintenance crew members may be asked to work in cold weather temperatures where they need to dress warmly.
- In mid summer maintenance crew members may be asked to work in hot weather temperatures and need to drink plenty of fluids, be responsible about sunscreen use, wear hats and ensure they take appropriate breaks.
- In all seasons, crew members need to be prepared to be asked to work in rainy conditions and to bring appropriate gear such as rain jackets.
- Crew members can expect to occasionally be exposed to chemicals such as gasoline and lubricants.

- Crew members can expect to be asked to lift up to 50 lbs.
Motion Parameters
- Crew members can expect to be on their feet for long periods of time. The job requires walking, squatting and kneeling.
