Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer (React, TypeScript, AWS)
Location: Remote – Canada (Must work EST hours)
Type: Full-Time / Contract
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with 5+ years of experience in building complex web applications using React and TypeScript, and hands-on experience integrating with AWS services. You'll play a key role in developing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend solutions while collaborating with a distributed team across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of responsive, performant, and maintainable web applications using React and TypeScript
Architect and implement integrations with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and API Gateway
Contribute to UI/UX discussions and bring wireframes and designs to life with clean, efficient code
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization
Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
Collaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers, and designers
Be available and active during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours
5+ years of professional experience in frontend development
Deep expertise in React.js and TypeScript
Strong experience with AWS tools and services in a frontend context
Proficient with Git, REST APIs, modern build tools, and deployment pipelines
Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and testing (Jest, Cypress, etc.)
Familiarity with design systems and component-based architecture
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Must be based in Canada and able to work EST hours
Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks
Familiarity with GraphQL
Background in UI/UX design principles
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
