Job Description

The role of the Sales Support Engineer is to provide solutions to our customers for their requirements with components from our wide portfolio of flow products. This involves analyzing the customers technical requirements, defining the complete engineering solution in collaboration with our Flow engineer specialist per ASME codes, and to prepare and supply a comprehensive and detailed proposal. Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of fluid dynamics are important to succeed in this role.

The complimentary responsibilityis to provide first-class sales support to our customers, both on a technical and commercial level. Each person in charge of the Technical Customer Service is assigned a specific clientele to build a close relationship with our customer base. In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in the complete cycle of the customer relationship from opportunity qualification to the finished products

Ideally located at our Sarnia branch, the candidate will report directly to the general manager and support the commercial efforts of our team, working closely with our staff located in Montreal and Sarnia, our Sales Representatives network and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive customers demands (RFQs) and clarify information. for the selection and design of primary flow elements
  • Validate customer needs
  • Work with our sub-contractors to establish pricing to the customer.
  • Maintain a good relationship with our suppliers
  • Prepare quotations for our products
  • Helps support customers for after sales technical service
  • Technically support our sales team in their growth initiatives
  • Follow up on quotes
  • Make necessary purchase orders
  • Expedite deliveries with our products or service suppliers

Qualifications:

  • At ease with mechanical engineering including design tools(Autodesk, Solidworks, ASME Code, etc.)
  • University degree or technician degree in an appropriate discipline allowing you to validate and approve mechanical drawings meeting Canadian CRN regulations or ASME Code.
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Knowledge of industrial flow measurement is an asset
  • Desire to directly interact with customers.
  • Results-oriented and able to manage a variable workload
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
  • Experience in sales and instrument selection is an asset
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite.
