The Role
Accurate Network Services Inc. is on the hunt for a Junior Field Service Technician to join our team in our
Edmonton office. The person we envision for this role is a new graduate from a technical program and is eager to grow their technical abilities, is comfortable in front of clients, and is good at crushing tasks independently.

The Field Support Technician works closely within a small team of field support technicians to
support all Accurate Networks clients onsite needs, across the greater Edmonton area. This role may
require occasional (rare) out-of-town travel.

This is a full-time position with some after-hours and weekend work required on an as-needed basis.
Regular work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, but your schedule can vary based on client needs. You
will be required to take part in an on-call rotation to respond to client after-hours emergency calls
(approximately one week every 18 weeks).

The Responsibilities
As in most technical roles, the Field Service Technician can expect a high degree of variability
each day while managing the following tasks:
1. Bring tickets to resolution to minimize the client downtime
o Troubleshooting IT hardware issues onsite at the clients location(s)
o Diagnosing, testing, and repairing physical infrastructure issues (e.g., dead port on a
wall, cable tracing)
o Completing onsite technology deployments (PCs, networking equipment, etc.)
o Installing, configuring, removing, or moving devices as per the ticket details or project
task scope
o Working with vendors, as needed
2. Performing weekly site visits to assist anyone onsite, as needed
3. We use Autotask to track tickets and time worked, and well provide ample training on how
the mechanics of the system work.
The Qualifications
Were looking for a Field Service Technician with the following qualifications and traits:
1. You are a new grad looking for your first role in IT with some foundational knowledge:
o Providing either remote and/or deskside IT support
o Administrating and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 devices
o Administrating and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
o Administrating and troubleshooting Line of Business applications

o Administrating and troubleshooting Printers and SMTP settings
o Troubleshooting Network issues

2. Not a new grad? No problem - we ask that you have your CompTIA A+ certification

3. You excel at planning and seeing-through tasks to the finish line and take pride in things being
done right
4. You are excellent at communicating with clients and vendors
5. You have strong problem-solving/investigative skills
6. You have the ability to lift at least 30 lbs (this role does require some physicalitycarrying boxes,
racking servers,wiring switches, etc.)
7. You have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle (mileage and relevant expenses related to
onsite work will be reimbursed)
