About the Role:
As a key member of the procurement team, you will play a critical role in sourcing quality materials, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring project timelines and budgets stay on track. You'll collaborate across departments, negotiate with suppliers, and bring strategic insight to every purchasing decision.
What You'll Do:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality service
- Obtain and evaluate quotes to meet project specs and deadlines
- Maintain accurate supplier documentation, pricing, and contracts
- Align procurement activities with project requirements in real time
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of cost, reliability, and quality
- Create and manage purchase orders with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Analyze costs to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency
- Drive process improvements across the procurement function
- Resolve vendor or delivery issues quickly and effectively
- 3–5 years of purchasing experience in construction, glazing, or cladding (required)
- Solid understanding of inventory control and materials management (asset)
- Experience interpreting technical drawings/specs to guide purchasing decisions
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and industry supply chains
- Experience using Jonas or similar project management/procurement software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital procurement platforms
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
