Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Algorithm Developer to support our efforts in delivering high-integrity data systems and decision-support tools for clients operating in critical airspace. This role focuses on analyzing environmental and sensor-based datasets, developing algorithms for early warning, anomaly detection, and modeling hazardous weather conditions to support operational resilience and mission assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Sensor & Environmental Data Analysis
Analyze multi-modal datasets (e.g., proprietary sensor data, radar, atmospheric sensors, satellite feeds, historical weather records).
- Algorithm Development & Optimization
- Optimize proprietary data analysis and detection algorithms of Pegasus sensors
- Build and refine algorithms for hazardous weather detection, pattern recognition, real-time risk scoring, and predictive analytics.
- Numerical Modeling
Support model-driven simulations of environmental conditions.
- System Integration Support Contribute to edge and cloud-based data pipelines.
Insight Delivery & Visualization
- Communicate findings clearly through dashboards, reports, and briefings.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineers, operational leads, and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Atmospheric Physics, Engineering, Applied Math, or related.
- Proficient in Python, data visualization tools, image and signal processing, machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with large datasets, real-world sensor integrations, geospatial formats, cloud infrastructure, and Git.
- Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with adverse weather modeling and alert systems.
- Aviation meteorology or air traffic systems knowledge.
- Familiarity with defense/government environments (RCAF, DND).
- Operational alerting or incident-response systems background.
- High regulated or non-permissive operational systems experience.
