The Back Shop Assistant is motivated, organized, flexible, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
This job description is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job
Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers, wheeled units, and kitchen suppression cylinders.
Perform inspection, testing, repair, and installation of fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and emergency lighting.
Prepare inspection reports and deficiency lists for all sites inspected.
Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.
Assist on-road technicians with a various assortment of required work.
Perform deliveries/pickup at customer locations and suppliers where required.
Picking orders to prepare for shipping.
Assist with shipping and receiving materials for the shop.
Perform Hydrant Flow Test
Perform site visits if required.
Accurately update the inventory management system with details of the received items, including quantity, location, and any other relevant information
Pickup and delivery of materials to job sites for various divisions within CFLS
Picking orders for road staff
Assisting with job site clean offs and set ups.
Assist in maintenance/repair for tools.
Manage administrative tasks related to warehouse operations, including documentation, record-keeping, and data entry.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Generate reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
Support the team by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing administrative assistance as needed.
Conducting regular stock checks and diligently updating internal records to maintain accurate inventory information.
Coordinating product transfers from other locations and promptly communicating any potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
Processing orders promptly and accurately
Reviewing purchase orders and other paperwork from suppliers to ensure that deliveries match orders.
Matching incoming goods with purchase orders in order to ensure that the correct items were received.
SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Completing deliveries in the region, as needed
Operating a company motorized vehicle.
Completion of daily logbook
Other duties as assigned.
Additional shop tasks as assigned, including but not limited to picking orders and putting stock away.

Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be above the age of 18.
Valid G class drivers license with a clean driver abstract
