Job Description:

Site Managers at Atmosphere Flooring Solutions are an integral and central part of the Commercial Construction team.

The primary function of a Site Manager is to ensure projects are installed in a timely and professional manner.
This involves gaining an understanding of project requirements and working with installation crews to ensure requirements are met. The site manager will report directly to the Field Manager. The Site Manager will work closely with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to become familiar with all project requirements, including schedule and budget. The Site Manager will be Atmospheres representative on site and communicate closely with project superintendents to ensure installation is meeting the clients expectations. Site Managers work primarily on our various construction sites throughout the lower mainland (ranging from North Vancouver to Chilliwack) and will often travel between multiple sites per day. Some examples of Site Manager responsibilities are:

  • Familiarize themselves with project details and schedule
  • Attend start-up meetings
  • Perform pre-installation site inspections
  • Gain an understanding of project schedule and manpower requirements
  • Relay schedule and manpower requirements to the Project Manager and Field Manager in a timely manner
  • Coordinate material deliveries with site and Atmosphere office personnel to ensure material is on site in time for install and acclimation
  • Meet installation crews on site and go over project details and schedule
  • Visit the site on a regular basis during installation to monitor progress. Update the Project Manager on a consistent basis on progress and future material delivery requirements
  • Be the main contact point for the contractors site superintendent
  • Perform quality control checks and compile deficiency lists for installation crews
  • Attend sub trade meetings as required
  • Upon job completion, remove excess material from site and turnover maintenance materials as required by specification to the general contractor
  • Ensure worker and site compliance with Atmosphere health and safety requirements

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates for Site Managers tend to be highly organized, strong communicators who work methodically with attention to detail and are comfortable adapting to unique requirements of each project. Atmosphere does not require Site Manager candidates to hold any specific qualifications as training can be provided for all required functions. The following skills and knowledge are, however, distinguishing:

  • Experience managing personnel
  • Familiarity with the construction industry in general
  • Competence using computers and general software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently manage time

  • Wages from the posted range will offered commensurate to skill and experience
