Candidate Profile
As a member of the Structural team, the Junior or Intermediate Structural Engineer will be responsible for perform structural analysis and design of building components. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Senior Structural Engineer and is a self-motivated, fast learner with the desire to continually learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural design and calculation complying with CSA standards
- Write technical reports
- Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties
- Review shop drawings
- CAD drafting as required
Professional Qualifications EDUCATION
- Engineering degree with focus on Civil and Structural Engineering
- Eligible for registration with provincial engineering association as an EIT
EXPERIENCE
- 0~2 years of structural engineering design experience
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes
- Knowledge of CSA concrete, structural steel and timber design standards
SKILLS
- Familiarity with CSI analysis program (SAFE, ETABS & SAP2000) preferred
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Revit an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
