The Role: Are you an experienced and dedicated AutoCAD Draftsperson with a passion for luxury kitchen designs and sales, particularly using Pro Engineer or AutoCAD Light? Responsibilities: As a key player in our team, you will play a crucial role in: * Bringing luxury kitchen cabinet designs and components to life using computed mathematical formulas and computer-aided design software. * Crafting layout and assembly drawings, including engineering shop drawings that meet or exceed our clients' requirements. * Collaborating with Project Managers, Dealers, Customers (on occasion), and Design Assistants to fine-tune designs and resolve challenges. * Conducting thorough reviews and analyses of specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and other related data to elevate kitchen cabinet component designs. * Applying your creativity to modify designs, addressing deficiencies and enhancing production efficiency. Skills and Abilities Needed: * Showcase your strong communication, active listening, and collaboration skills. * Utilize your analytical prowess to evaluate results and choose innovative solutions. * Demonstrate your strong capabilities in math and written English. * Apply critical thinking to identify the best approaches to problem-solving. * Bring your knowledge of materials, methods, and tools in the design/construction of kitchen cabinets and components. Education Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Civil/Mechanical Engineering. * Certification in AutoCAD or other 3D modeling software (Preference for Pro Engineer or AutoCAD Light). * Experience with kitchen design and cabinetry (millwork) * Shop drawing experience * 3 to 5 years of experience Why work at Downsview Kitchens?
