South Trail Chrysler is hiring a Parts Shipper/Receiver/Driver to join their team of professionals!

As the Parts Shipper/Receiver, you play a key role in the efficient processing of all inbound and outbound parts shipments and maintaining accurate electronic records. This role also includes Parts Driver responsibilities, involving the pickup and delivery of parts—primarily tires—requiring the ability to regularly lift up to 100 pounds.

Shipper/Receiver Responsibilities:

• Determine the appropriate shipping method utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates

• Verify information on bills of invoices, orders, and other records by counting, weighing, or measuring items for both incoming and outgoing shipments

• Affix shipping labels or stencils

• Identify information on packed cartons, including weight and shipping charges

• Insert items into containers with metal tape, using strapping machine and mail covers on wooden crates

• Unload and examine incoming shipments, record shortages, and put aside damaged items, correct damages and shortages

• Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing orders

• Maintain inventory of shipping material and supplies

• Accept unsold products returned by the Parts Driver

• Organize and display stock attractively

• Manage the pickup and delivery of tires from required stores

• Organize and Maintain the Tire Storage Unit

• Assist with phones in the Parts Department when the front counter is busy

Driver Responsibilities:

• Coordinate orders for pick up from customers, satellite stores or vendors with the Parts Manager, Parts department staff, and/or the Parts Shipping/Receiving clerk

• Obtain recipient's signature upon delivery and maintain a log of delivery times

• Unload the truck each night and return all documents and undelivered parts to the Parts Department

• Maintain basic upkeep of the delivery truck, i.e., check oil with each fill-up, lubricate monthly, and schedule safety inspections

• Collect payment from wholesale customers

Requirements:

• Able to work efficiently and accurately

• Able to maintain a neat and orderly warehouse

• Effective inventory management

• Organizational skills and strong sense of direction within delivery area

• Minimum of 1-3 years of Parts shipping/receiving experience

• Forklift experience/license

• General understanding of automotive parts

• CDK software experience is an asset

• Positive attitude

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Must wear CSA approved steel toed shoes

• Able to lift objects that are 60 to 100 lbs.

• Computer literate

• Driver's license and clean driving record
