Job Summary: Design, program, operate, service and maintain PLC devices

Knowledge and Skills (Education):

• Post-Secondary Education- Electro-Mechanical Technician Diploma or equivalent
• Provincial Certification Red Seal 309A or 442A required
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of technical controls and strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and problem solve
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Major Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment consisting of weld controllers, robotics, and programmable logic controllers
  Troubleshoot and repair equipment components
• Design electrical and electronic circuits
• Program PLC's, AC/DC drives and Servo Drives
• Modify robot, PLC programs and machine screen interfaces
• Equipment maintenance
• Change welding consumables as needed
• Adjust MIG and spot-welding schedules on Medar, Lincoln, Miller, and Panasonic weld controllers
• All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by Supervisor
