ABOUT THE STOP:

The Stop Community Food Centres mission is to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds community and challenges inequality. The Stop began 40 years ago as one of North Americas first food banks, and has since grown into a vibrant community centre that uses food as a gateway to addressing many issues, including poverty, the environment, social isolation, and health in one of Torontos lowest-income neighbourhoods.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Development Officer is responsible for the fundraising and management of a portfolio of current and potential individual donors . In this position, you will work with program staff to deliver on the fundraising strategy and contribute to the case for support, while building and leveraging key relationships and contacts within and outside of the organizations network. As the Development Officer, you will be a key contributor to the development team and will be essential to the achievement of our organization's fundraising goals

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report to and works closely with the Development Manager to develop and execute all annual giving revenue programs and initiatives aimed at engaging and involving individual donors with the goal of moving them through the fundraising pipeline.
