Manager - Respiratory Therapy

ProResp Inc., is the largest Ontario owned provider of home respiratory services, and the first to offer homecare services with the RRT as the primary healthcare provider. We are recruiting an experienced Respiratory Therapist to become Branch Manager of our Toronto operation. Leading a team of professionals (healthcare and non-healthcare), the manager ensures the successful integration of patient care throughout the region. This role offers a unique and challenging opportunity to develop new and work with established professional relationships with community healthcare professionals, senior living partnerships, and in coalition with local hospitals (several with joint venture agreements)

Expectations of role include (but not limited to):
  • Maintains client care standards with effective resource utilization
  • Develop annual business plans and budgets
  • Establish goals and objectives in alignment with corporate policies, procedures and standards
  • Manages both physical and human resources for the operation
  • Provides developmental training, mentorship and performance measures to staff
  • Operates to applicable quality standards as outlined by senior leadership.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant legislation such as Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Transportation, Health Canada
The preferred candidate shall possess:
  • Clinical expertise as a Respiratory Therapist is required to be considered for this role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of 5 years or more is preferred
  • Formal business education considered an asset
  • Excellent communications skills; demonstrated with multiple stakeholders, effectively through a variety of methods
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Agreeable to participate in applicable background checks as an ongoing condition of employment.

Essential Duties:
  • Valid G license: ability to travel as required. Comfortable driving throughout the region on a regular basis.
  • Defined as physically medium; occasional walking and standing and climbing of stairs; computer work; neck flexion; frequent push–pull for vehicle doors; occasional lifting up to 31lbs, rare to 58lbs.
