Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you'll get to generate new business throughout a specified region, manage the accounts for which you generate, work closely with customers to become a valued consultant, and provide strategic direction to drive both service and cost saving initiatives! This is a vital role to the success of Paramount Pallet, so we're looking for a motivated individual ready to approach and win new business!
Responsibilities
- Generate new sales for products or services by cold calling aligned businesses
- Act on and close sales leads generated from inbound inquiries (website/CRM/phone/etc)
- Achieve regional sales and operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans and quotas
- Maintain and expand customer base by collaborating with the sales team, building and maintaining rapport with key customers
Qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
- 2-3 years of experience in a business development role, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years of experience working within a CRM – HubSpot preferred
- Proven experience in developing and carrying out business plans, sales plans
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales and results with all levels of customers
- Ability to travel about the region to visit with customers
- Strong organizational skills and able to manage effectively in a fast-paced business with simultaneous priorities
