Job Title: Journeyman and Apprentice Pipefitters

Minimum Level of Education: Journeyman Pipefitter or Registered Apprentice
Schedule: Supporting various job sites in Fort Saskatchewan area.
Locations to be Supported: Fort Saskatchewan Area
Position Summary
We are seeking Journeyman & Apprentices Pipefitters for various sites in the Fort Saskatchewan area, AB. The successful candidate will report to the site supervisor.
Other responsibilities include:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality.
- Calculating weight of materials and/or spools to ensure proper equipment is used.
- Reading and interpreting client and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and assembling and installing piping, valves, and fittings.
- Joining pipe sections/related equipment and securing position.
- Using testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
- Complying with ONEC's and client safety policies and procedures.
- Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs, nights, and overtime upon client request.
- Operating machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Trade Journeyperson or Apprentice Certificate.
- Knowledge and experience of industry related safe work practices.
- Previous industrial experience considered an asset.
- CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC H2S Alive.
- Audiometric & Hearing fit testing.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Organized and self-motivated.
- Must be capable of physical labour.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
- Organizational and time management skills.
