Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair electrical components in crane systems, including motors, control panels, and wiring.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure cranes operate safely and efficiently.
- Address mechanical issues related to hydraulics and pneumatics as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers to gather technical information and provide solutions.
- Respond promptly to service calls, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Identify opportunities to propose technical solutions that improve equipment durability, reliability, productivity, and safety.
- Conduct outreach to attract new customers and expand service offerings.
- Maintain tools, parts, and equipment inventory to ensure readiness for service tasks.
- Review technical inquiries and recommend solutions for operations and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements to provide informed advice.
- Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technician program or equivalent.
- Electrical certifications such as 442A, Journeyman Electrician, or Red Seal.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Welding experience is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer communication skills.
- Valid G-class driver's license.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- High degree of initiative and flexibility.
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to work variable hours, overtime, or be "on-call" as required.
