THE ROLE

Our client is a growing, multi-office law firm located in the Fraser Valley with a modern, tech-forward approach to legal services. The team includes experienced legal professionals who work collaboratively to provide high-quality representation across a variety of practice areas. The firm offers a supportive, flexible environment that encourages professional development and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters including parenting, support, property division, and divorce.
  • Conduct client meetings, draft pleadings and legal documents, and represent clients at various court appearances or mediations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide practical legal advice and creative problem-solving in sensitive family law situations.
  • Work independently while collaborating with internal legal and administrative staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Called to the Bar in British Columbia with 13 years of experience in family law (flexible depending on fit).
  • Familiarity with court procedures, family law rules, and relevant legislation in BC.
  • Excellent drafting, advocacy, and client service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in-office and travel locally as required.
