Responsibilities:
- Provide support to all North America team members for various HR issues including but not limited to compensation, disciplinary matters, disputes & investigations, performance & talent management, productivity, and morale
- Provide consultation and guidance to Managers regarding HR issues; participate in disciplinary actions, PIP's, terminations and investigations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR processes & policies.
- Participate in the talent acquisition and recruitment processes; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Provide support for the Recruitment team to help facilitate hiring of qualified candidates, evaluating job descriptions, offering guidance for best practices in talent management
- Assist in the new employee onboarding process and facilitate and manage the required training and development.
- Manage employment agreements including but not limited to drafting and issuing employment contracts, handle negotiations during offering stage to secure top talent.
- Participate in Company benefits renewals and administer benefits enrollment for new hires
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Undertake tasks around performance management e.g., drafting salary increase letters
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR functions, e.g., time to hire and employee turnover rates
- Maintain knowledge of trends, compliance with federal, provincial employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices to maintain compliance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting all HR functions including talent acquisition and onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits and both Canada and US legal compliance.
- Collaborative approach to working with department managers to understand required skills and competencies.
- Knowledge of best practices in talent management and providing support to the Recruitment team.
- Proficiency in managing employment agreements, including drafting and issuing contracts.
- Involvement in Company benefits renewals and administration of benefits enrollment for new hires.
- Capability to address various HR-related topics, including leaves, compensation, and conflict resolution.
- Experience participating in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Promotion of HR programs for an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Support to HR Manager in developing and implementing HR processes and policies.
- Experience in tasks related to performance management, such as drafting salary increase letters.
- Data gathering and analysis skills for HR functions like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Knowledge of trends and compliance with employment laws, recommending best practices for maintaining compliance.
