Role Overview

The Lorandus Project Accountant is responsible for the proper billing, revenue and reconciliation duties for the Projects under the Lorandus pipeline, and bookkeeping for Lorandus, A One10 Company. Project transactions recorded must be in accordance with GAAP revenue recognition guidelines and Lorandus/One10's workflow. In addition to other departments, this role will work closely with Client Services, Event Managers, and report to the Controller.

Scope of Work

  • Understands and applies Lorandus/One10's project accounting processes and practices
  • Propose project journal entries to manage the project's funds
  • Assist with month-end close activities, reviewing project working capital summaries, project Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet statements, and Percent of Completion schedules
  • Prepares other ad hoc reports and analysis as assigned
  • Prepare all billing collateral including invoices and receipts
  • Complete payment requests to vendors and contractors
  • Strengthens and maintains efficiency of the revenue accounting function through review of processes and procedures and implementation of process improvements
  • Answers account management questions related to client billing
  • Contribute to revenue and deferred revenue analyses
  • Performs other duties as assigned and cross training
  • Assist in month-end close process, improving close cycle time
  • Understanding of CRA and TICO regulations, reporting and filings
  • Working with a commercial banking platform to pull reports and request payments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 3-5 years of comprehensive experience in project accounting or similar
  • CPA (active or inactive) (preferred but not required)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (pivots, v/h-lookups, etc.)
  • Basic financial expertise in POC billing and GAAP ASC606 revenue recognition
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and analytic problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience with WorkDay preferred
