Community Living Sarnia-Lambton (CLSL) is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dedicated leader to join our team as a Supervisor in our Residential Program. This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Director of Housing or their designate.

In this role, you will lead a team of staff supporting adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, some of whom may have complex behavioural, physical, or medical needs. Your leadership will foster inclusive, person-directed environments where individuals can thrive in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote positive, proactive environments to enable personal growth, development, and well-being among and for both participants and support staff.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
  • Set goalsfor performance and monitor employee productivity by providing constructive feedback and coaching in ways that comply with the companys plans and vision.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues; identifying solutions; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between program areas or sites, recommending action, and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management.
  • Develop, promote, and direct creative programs that are desired by participants and their families.
  • Maintain quality of service by establishing and enforcing organizational and participant service standards; analyzing and resolving problems; identifying trends/needs; and recommending improvements.
  • Promote, ensure, and provide personalized support, support plans, and services for participants.
  • Ensure comprehensive communications among service participants, their families and caregivers, other support options within CLSL, associated professionals, specialists and consultants, and service agencies.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and controlling site specific budgets and accountability systems
  • Thorough and consistent completion, submission, and follow-up of data collection, documentation, and record maintenance to ensure all CLSL, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively interpret & ensure compliance with both CLSL policies and procedures and respective government legislation and regulatory requirements (e.g., quality assurance measures, OHSA, risk management, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with CLSLs collective agreement with its CUPE local.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, respect, independence, privacy, and security of participants and personal property.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Developmental Services or Human Services (minimum two years required).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in developmental or human services, including supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Proven skills in staff leadership, team building, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and scheduling software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Class G drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle, and valid auto insurance.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • available to be on-call during evenings, weekends, or holidays
