Position Summary


A Warehouse Lead is a critical role in working closely with Senior Operations in overseeing the daily operations of our chairs and tables, furniture, warehouse department. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient receipt, storage,
and dispatch of goods, while also maintaining a safe and productive working environment for our team.


Key Responsibilities


Warehouse Operations:
Plan and organize daily warehouse activities to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance overall efficiency.


Team Leadership:
Provide effective leadership, direction, and guidance to warehouse staff.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring an equitable workload distribution.
Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse personnel to promote a positive work culture.


On Time Delivery
Ensure the orders are complete up to 2 days prior to the delivery of the order.
Any concerns in completing the orders should be brought immediately to attention of Director, Operations and Service Delivery.


Health and Safety:
Enforce safety and sanitation protocols within the department to guarantee a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Collaborate with Health and Safety team and train and educate employees on safety practices, emergency response plans, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE and proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals used in the dishwashing process.
Promptly report and document all workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses following established procedures.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and areas for improvement.


Quality Control:
Report all damaged items to Director, Operations and Service Delivery
Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments meet quality standards.
Conduct regular quality checks to identify and resolve any issues promptly.


Inventory Management:
Oversee the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and issuance of goods.
Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to maintain accurate stock records.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.


Equipment Maintenance:
Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning with Facilities Manager.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Facilities Managers and Health & Safety Manager.


Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Enforce compliance with safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Forklift Certification
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using Point of Rental (POR) software.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Sound understanding of safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and non-confrontational.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of the warehouse layout and product knowledge.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to work flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions


Warehouse environment with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
Physical work involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
Standard 8-hour shifts with the potential for overtime during busy periods.
