We are looking to hire full-time, year-round carpenters to work on full builds in the 150 Mile House area, to remote locations (typically the Cariboo, Chilcotin, Interlakes and Thompson regions - home on weekends), and out of our prefabrication shop in 150 Mile House.

WHAT YOU BRING

As a member of ZTF's carpentry team, you will work alongside professional project managers and skilled craftspeople, reflecting our core values, while serving our clients.

Ideal candidates will bring a mix of:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of construction carpentry type experience; or more years for the senior or lead level roles
  • Experience with prefabrication
  • Experience in timber frame construction
  • Experience building high performance homes start to finish (we are a Net Zero CHBA Certified builder); and an interest in advancing sustainable building practices
  • Full skill ranges from foundations to finishing
  • Red Seal Carpentry Certification, Zimmermann or related education is a strong asset
  • While carpentry is the base for all projects, having electrical, plumbing, foundation, siteworks, tiling, and other trades experience is also an asset
  • Ability to follow blueprints to prepare material takeoffs and complete layouts
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • For Lead positions, an asset to also have experience in reporting, record-keeping, navigating design tools, and / or project management software
  • Commitment to health and safety in the workplace

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking to hire full-time, year-round carpenters to work on full builds in the 150 Mile House area, to remote locations (typically the Cariboo, Chilcotin, Interlakes and Thompson regions - home on weekends), and out of our prefabrication shop in 150 Mile House.

Lead positions lead a small mostly independent crew, with a provided truck and fully stocked tool trailer. Leads mostly work on-site with some opportunity to work in the 150 Mile House shop on prefabrication from time to time.

Our team is looking for a variety of levels including experienced and lead, so please feel free to apply even if you don't yet have all the experience listed in this posting.
