This year is shaping up to be our busiest yet, and we're expanding our installation team. As the Landscape Construction Site Lead, you'll oversee daily operations on our landscape construction sites, with a primary focus on hardscape installation and overall landscape best practices. You'll lead your team in executing tasks efficiently and ensuring high-quality results in every project.

Hourly Wage: $32-$37/hr, depending on experience

Work Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-4:30 pm (summer - 4-day work week)

Job Duties Include:

  • Lead daily site activities and oversee hardscape and softscape construction projects

  • Manage and perform installations of patios, retaining walls, stairs, walkways, natural stonework, segmental block systems, and concrete features.

  • Accurately read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings

  • Supervise, mentor, and delegate tasks to crew members to maintain productivity and high morale

  • Coordinate with project managers and designers to resolve on-site challenges and maintain schedules

  • Ensure proper site preparation, including excavation, grading, compaction, and installation of base material, to industry standards

  • Oversee installation of plants, soil amendments, sod, mulch, and basic irrigation and lighting systems

  • Operate and maintain construction equipment, including mini excavators, skid steers, compaction tools, saws, and lasers

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with safety policies and local regulations

  • Manage materials and deliveries to ensure accuracy and minimize downtime

  • Perform quality control inspections throughout all stages of construction and address any deficiencies promptly

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in landscape construction, with a strong focus on hardscape installation

  • Previous leadership or foreperson experience is preferred

  • Solid knowledge of grading, drainage, base preparation, and compaction standards

  • Skilled in natural stonework, segmental concrete units, bare masonry, and concrete forming

  • Understanding of softscape practices, basic irrigation systems, and low-voltage lighting installation

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, grades, and project specifications

  • Competent in operating landscape and construction equipment

  • High attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities

  • Capable of training, mentoring, and leading crew members effectively

  • A valid driver's license is required; a clean driving record is preferred

  • ICPI, NCMA, or similar certifications are an asset, but not mandatory

  • Professional, dependable, and self-motivated with a positive leadership attitude

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay calm under pressure

  • Strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and high-quality work
