Starting Wage: $64.66/hour
The Opportunity:
Working in the Refinery Maintenance Department as part of the Metals Team, the role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, lay out, assembly and fabrication of piping systems, pressure vessels and exchangers.
Qualifications and Skills:- The successful candidate embraces positive change and is committed to help further advance our safety and reliability culture at the refinery.
- The successful candidate must hold a Pipefitter/Steamfitter BCTQ (British Columbia Trade Qualification) with IP/Red Seal.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar position post apprenticeship completion.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the Petrochemical Industry, with experience with the following activities:
- Layout and fabrication of new refinery equipment and piping systems.
- Maintenance and repair of existing equipment and piping systems.
- Maintenance and repair of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers, and related auxiliary systems.
- Troubleshooting refinery equipment as related to welding and pipefitter trades.
- Working knowledge of rigging and lifting with cranes.
- Fabrication & installation of temporary leak repairs.
- Hydro testing of piping systems & pressure vessels.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Boilermaker experience will be an asset.
- Gasfitter trade qualification will be an asset.
- Knowledge of a computerized maintenance system (JDE, SAP, etc.) will be an asset
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are an expectation of this position.
