Summary Of Day To Day Responsibilities:
- Day to day can differ depending on the stage of the project my team is working in.
- For Requirements, it's a lot of collecting data from stakeholders, coordinating and formalizing requirements, and getting sign-off
- For Dev, it's working with tech, running meetings
- For Test, it's writing test cases and running tests.
- Roll out, it's putting together documentation, procedures, training for the BAU team, etc
- Hosting recurring meetings with all stakeholders to get updates and track, and doing data analysis to make some informed decisions.
- The Change Manager will manage projects with moderate to high regulatory oversight
- Work in close partnership with all project stakeholders to align plans, timelines, expectations, and deliverables to meet the project's objectives.
- Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met
- Ensure projects are delivered based on the agreed scope, agreed timeline, and approved budget
- The Change Manager will manage the resolution of issues and risks effectively, and if required, ensure timely escalation of the issues and risks
- Communicates effectively on project status to stakeholders
- Manage project financials, including monthly variance analysis, program benefits, and ongoing costs
- Create and maintain comprehensive project management artifacts in compliance with Change Delivery methodologies, in alignment with waterfall, rapid, client Agile, and Agile delivery practices.
- Considered a subject matter expert on practices, procedures, and principles of project management
- The Change Manager will manage initiatives through to completion, including Planning, Execution, Control, and Closure of initiatives.
- Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and information, escalating issues where appropriate
- Manage communications to: Program Delivery Leadership team, impacted stakeholders, and Control Partners
- Coordinates with the respective enterprise control partners (e.g., EPDE, Strategic Sourcing Group, Legal, TRMIS, OCDO, etc.) to appropriately select, engage, and manage external service providers as required
- Leads a large, diverse business team to effectively deliver scope and quality in an initiative
- Manage initiatives through to completion, including Planning, Execution, Control, and Closure
- Part of a team working primarily on global change projects in the financial industry.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a change delivery role as a Project Manager / Scrum Master.
- Outstanding record of project delivery success, preferably in Capital Markets and Regulatory-related initiatives
- Experience and strong subject matter expertise in Capital Markets and Large Regulatory Change/AML/Sanctions, ideally with experience managing change projects in this space
- Strong understanding of end-to-end dealer functions (trade booking, regulatory reporting, risk, P&L, confirmations, settlements, cash reconciliation, etc) is preferred
- Experience with Middle office or Back Office functions (trade booking, confirmations, settlements, reference data.
- Strong understanding of Security, Client, Account, and SSI reference data.
- Team player with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
