General Manager – Genesis Downtown Vancouver
Location: Downtown Vancouver – Opening Summer 2025
Genesis Downtown Vancouver is launching a brand-new, state-of-the-art dealership location this summer. As we prepare to open our doors, we are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused General Manager to lead this exciting new venture from the ground up.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about the customer experience, building a high-performing sales culture, and establishing a strong brand presence. You will have the rare opportunity to shape every aspect of this new operation—from team building to customer engagement—and play a vital role in establishing Genesis as a premium destination in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the dealership's launch, including staffing, training, customer process design, and execution of brand standards.
- Build and lead a high-performance sales and leadership team focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, hospitality, and continuous improvement aligned with the Genesis brand.
- Partner with OEM representatives to ensure alignment with product knowledge, training, and customer engagement strategies.
- Guide and support sales managers and sales consultants to achieve sales volume and customer satisfaction targets.
- Deliver ongoing training, coaching, and development for the sales team, including daily and weekly huddles.
- Ensure the new vehicle delivery process is executed flawlessly, with a focus on creating memorable customer moments.
- Champion showroom readiness, sales floor organization, and a consistent, premium guest experience.
- Actively participate in the sales process when needed, assisting in deal structuring and customer interactions.
- Lead by example in customer interactions, team accountability, and brand representation.
All successful applicants must possess the following qualities:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager in an Automotive Dealership.
- Superior management, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high standards are held for delivery of vehicles to customers.
- Ensure that sales representatives understand and follow dealership policies at all times.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers; subordinates and other management.
- Be extremely organized.
- Attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
- Experience with internet and retail tools, 180 and ADP.
- Valid VSA License is required.
