Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform the cleaning and sanitization of role-specific areas in the hotel, including resident cabins, public spaces, public washrooms, fitness facilities, offices, and other service areas
- Ensure all tasks are performed to Bridgemans' standards and specific procedures
- Review daily work checklists to ensure all role-specific duties have been completed
- Ensure all waste is separated according to the vessel segregation policy and discarded according to the vessel waste management plan
- Follow all cleaning schedules as laid out by the Supervisor
- Complete all checklists and position-specific reports as assigned by the Supervisor
- Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment in the hotel and service areas
- Possess a basic knowledge of Microsoft computer systems, to manage the smooth flow of traffic on and off the vessel
- Ensure the safety of yourself and others by always wearing task-specific PPE
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, superiors, and clients, contributing to the general well-being of the vessel
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene, arriving at your shift on time and ready to work, following all personal grooming and appearance standards
Qualifications
- A hospitality diploma or related training may be preferred
- STCW Basic Safety Courses
- Seafarer's Medical Certificate
- Proven experience in hospitality, preferably in a floating food service platform or cruise ship environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Working Conditions
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
