POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate, Marketing, and Signature Events, the Manager, Digital Fundraising is responsible for creating and executing digital fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies. This role manages the Foundation's digital platforms, drives performance through data-informed insights, and supports all fundraising programs with tailored digital outreach and stewardship initiatives.
With expertise in digital advertising, email marketing, segmentation, automation, and platform management, this role is critical to enhancing donor journeys and optimizing results across ROM Governors' fundraising portfolio. The Manager also supports direct solicitations and online donor experiences that reflect the innovation and impact of ROM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Email Marketing & Digital Communications
• Lead the creation and execution of digital fundraising communications, including solicitations, newsletters, surveys, and event invitations using Mailchimp.
• Manage audience segmentation, tagging, data hygiene, and personalization.
• Implement automation workflows, dynamic content, and A/B testing to improve engagement and performance.
• Oversee Mailchimp integrations with Raiser's Edge and Raisin for seamless data flow and donor journey tracking.
• Maintain a comprehensive e-communications calendar in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Management of Digital Platforms
• Manage and optimize digital platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Mailchimp, Raisin, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Zoom, and Google Analytics.
• Improve the donor experience by refining online donation forms, landing pages, and calls to action.
• Conduct competitive research and track digital trends to enhance fundraising success.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as open rates, click-throughs, conversion rates, and donor retention.
• Work closely with communications, marketing, and fundraising teams to ensure brand consistency across platforms.
Virtual Donor Engagement & Content Creation
• Support virtual donor engagement initiatives, including livestreamed events and donor-facing video content.
• Manage technical aspects of digital events and video editing for a seamless online experience.
• Contribute to engaging and on-brand digital content that strengthens donor connections.
Digital Strategies for Fundraising Programs
• Develop strategies to improve donor retention, renewals, acquisition, and recurring gifts.
• Optimize automation for renewals and benefit delivery.
• Apply data insights to refine donor journeys and enhance digital solicitations.
• Partner with leadership to improve online giving and conversion.
Online Donor Experience
• Conduct A/B testing and UX improvements to enhance digital fundraising performance.
• Refine content and layout based on analytics and user behavior.
• Implement best practices for donor data capture and reporting across all channels.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Education & Experience:
• University degree in fundraising, marketing, or a related field — or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 2–3 years of progressive digital fundraising or marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit or cultural setting.
Technical Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Mailchimp or similar platform (automation, A/B testing, segmentation, and integrations).
• Experience using Raisin and Raiser's Edge for campaign management, segmentation, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and digital tracking methodologies.
• Working knowledge of HTML, Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), and CRM databases.
• Experience using platforms such as Zoom, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Microsoft Teams.
Fundraising & Engagement:
• Experience developing and analyzing digital campaigns that drive donor retention and acquisition.
• Familiarity with best practices in donor journey mapping, donor stewardship, and campaign performance analysis.
Project Management & Communication:
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven project management, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams with varying levels of digital fluency.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and creative skills.
Other Considerations:
• Availability for occasional after-hours events and meetings.
• Comfortable working independently and within a collaborative, integrated fundraising environment.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Start Date: ASAP
• Status: Full-Time Permanent
• Employee Group: ROM Governors
• Schedule: 35 Hours per week
• Probationary Period: Six (6) Months
• Location: Toronto, ON
• Open Date: May 1, 2025
• Close Date: May 22, 2025
• Salary: CAD 75,000 to CAD 90,000
• Work Model: In-Person with flexible work arrangements (minimum 3 days in office)
