PRODUCTION LINE WORKER - FULL TIME BATCH MAKER Shift Premium, Full Time, Full Benefits! In Person, Calgary AB The Batch Maker is responsible for producing all liquid bases for the production team to use to make into our delicious gelatos and sorbettos. WHO ARE YOU? * Batch makers are big into details - you always double check before you hit send. * You're systematic, methodical, organized, disciplined, and precise. * You're obsessed with Quality & Integrity * You're comfortable with equipment * You're content to work on your own most of the time. ** MOST IMPORTANTLY ** You're not into a typical 9-5. You're flexible to work through the night or in the early morning to make sure the base is ready when the team is! This role will typically work from 7am to 3pm, but depending on the quantity and flavour can start as early as 1am or as late as 8am, and finish accordingly. This is the second batch making shift, and depending on the day will work at least some time on the line. The right fit will love to watch the sunrise through the floor to ceiling windows in our Google-meets-Willy Wonka factory. What makes you weird? YOUR MISSION Reporting to the Production Lead, the Batch Maker is responsible for producing all liquid bases for the production line team to use to make into finished products. This role will also ensure that all GMP and food safety guidelines are priority one when stepping into the production area. It is expected for you to set the standard and be exemplary in upholding Righteous Quality and Integrity with every shift. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Deliver on the Ten Things that Require Zero Talent: Being on time, work ethic, effort, body language, attitude, passion, being coachable, doing extra, being prepared. * Maintain a strong understanding of product knowledge, ingredients and allergens (we'll teach you!) * Inspect all raw materials for quality and safety. * Follow flavour batch sheets to weigh, measure and process specific ingredients into each batch to produce our world class products. * Ensure every ingredient is easily traced using precise record keeping regarding amounts, lot codes, etc. * While this role will primarily be making base, Righteous runs on teamwork and there will be days and times where you'll be required to work on the production line. THE MUST HAVES - KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES * Ability to stand for duration of shifts (up to 8 hours). * Ability to lift 50 pounds * Flexibility within shift schedules including early mornings, evenings/overnights and occasional weekends (This role will typically work 7am to 3pm) * Strong communication skills, including the ability to perform basic math, reading and writing. * Reliable * Detail Oriented * A deep love for delicious frozen treats... for the Quality Assurance! * Willingness to jump in and get your hands dirty - you're ready to go above and beyond. * A friendly, passionate, and positive spirit obsessed with keeping the vibes high. * Previous experience working in food manufacturing, production, food service or in a kitchen is an asset but not required. * Bonus if you have a Food Safe Certificate!
