Job Summary:Equinox Engineering is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience in EPCM or related engineering fields. The successful candidate will play a key role in civil/structural design, ensuring project requirements are met while maintaining compliance with industry codes and standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze structural designs for oil and gas facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructures.
- Knowledge of Civil and Earthwork design experience is an asset.
- Perform structural design calculations, prepare engineering sketches, and review drawings.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including reports, specifications, and material take-offs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency and alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct site visits to support data collection, assessments, and construction activities as required.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Provide technical support during design reviews and construction phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality control procedures.
Key Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including steel, concrete, foundation and civil design.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with engineering tools such as RISA, STAAD, Mathcad or equivalent software. Good knowledge of using 3D modelling software for review and navigation.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform complex structural calculations and interpret engineering data.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration and technical documentation.

Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering (required).
- 5+ years of experience in EPCM, oil & gas, or industrial structural design.
- Professional Designation: P.Eng. or eligibility for registration with APEGA.
- Familiarity with engineering codes and standards (e.g., CSA, AISC, ASCE, API).
- Experience with field assessments and construction support is an asset.
