Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a courteous and welcoming manner
Answer incoming phone calls efficiently and professionally
Call patients requesting our services
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Process insurance information and assist with billing inquiries as needed
Promote clinic services where appropriate through soft selling techniques (e.g., informing patients about additional services, new programs, or wellness initiatives)
Manage a variety of administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and data entry
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
Handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and providing excellent service
Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients to ensure smooth clinic operations
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is mandatory
Demonstrated soft selling skills with the ability to promote services in a respectful, patient-centered manner
Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Positive, upbeat demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Professional appearance and attitude
Preferred:
Previous experience in a family medicine or specialty clinic setting
