Who we are:

For over 20 years, Global Relay has set the standard in enterprise information archiving with industry-leading cloud archiving, surveillance, eDiscovery, and analytics solutions. We securely capture and preserve the communications data of the world's most highly regulated firms, giving them greater visibility and control over their information and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.

Though we offer competitive compensation and benefits and all the other perks one would expect from an established company, we are not your typical technology company. Global Relay is a career-building company. A place for big ideas. New challenges. Groundbreaking innovation. It's a place where you can genuinely make an impact – and be recognized for it.

We believe great businesses thrive on diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of all employees. To that end, we recruit candidates from different backgrounds and foster a work environment that encourages employees to collaborate and learn from each other, completely free of barriers.

We encourage you to apply if your qualifications and experience are a good fit for any of our openings.

Your role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Technical Product Manager to lead our HR technology transformation journey. In this high-impact role, you will serve as a strategic partner to HR and Payroll leaders, helping define and evolve our future HRIS environment. Your mission will be to gather, define, and refine HR and payroll process requirements that inform the selection and implementation of a next-generation Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and to drive ongoing HR and Payroll technology adoption and expansion.
This is a hybrid role based in our Vancouver office, with a requirement to be onsite three days a week.

Your responsibilities:

As the Senior Technical Product Manager, you will:

  • Lead HR Transformation: Act as the strategic lead for defining and optimizing end-to-end HR and Payroll processes to enable technology transformation.
  • Own Requirements Definition: Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and external partners to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for a new HRIS platform.
  • Guide Vendor Selection: Play a key role in HRIS platform evaluation and selection, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and future-state business needs.
  • Define Future-State Processes: Apply frameworks such as APQC and Business Architecture methodologies to design scalable, efficient, and future-ready HR processes.
  • Build and Lead Teams: Assemble and guide cross-functional teams to support successful HRIS adoption, rollout, and ongoing value delivery.
  • Act as a Technical SME: Leverage your deep understanding of enterprise HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, etc.) to support integration design, data migration, and configuration best practices.
  • Drive Agile Delivery: Apply Agile methodologies to prioritize work, manage backlogs, and continuously iterate based on feedback and evolving business priorities.

About you:

You are a hands-on leader with a background in HR or Payroll and a strong track record in delivering HR technology initiatives. You have a passion for process optimization and a knack for connecting business needs to technical solutions.
You bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or Information Systems.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of experience in technical product management, HR systems implementation, or HR transformation roles, preferably in a global organization operating in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Domain Knowledge: Solid background working in or alongside HR and/or Payroll teams.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of enterprise HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, etc.) and integration approaches.
  • Methodology Know-How: Certified in Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).
  • Process Modeling Skills: Experience in defining and documenting HR processes using APQC and Business Architecture standards.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, analytical, and facilitation skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Location Flexibility: Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week onsite at our Vancouver office.
