Come and work for an award winning employer! Smith Bros. and Wilson is looking for a dynamic Information Technology Coordinator working in a fast-paced environment.

ROLE SUMMARY

The IT Coordinator plays an integral role supporting the daily technology operations of SBW. The IT Coordinator will maintain IT systems and networks, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with vendors, and ensure efficient and secure technology usage. This role serves as a critical link between the 3rd party IT consultant and end-users, helping drive smooth, uninterrupted business operations. This role reports directly to the Financial Officer and is in frequent communication with key stakeholders such as the Office Manager, Management Team and the 3rd party IT consultant.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

End-User Support

Provide first-line support to internal teams, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.

Maintain inventories of hardware, software licenses, and IT supplies.

Install software and deploy hardware as required for end users.

Support the security and surveillance systems as required.

Incident Management

Lead the Incident Management practice by facilitating and coordinating various activities to ensure service is restored and/or protected.

Understand system performance and the security and integrity of IT infrastructure.

Log and prioritize incidents and service requests in the internal ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.

Collaborate with team members to escalate complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.

SOPs and Documentation

Manage IT projects, upgrades, and system installations by coordinating with internal teams and IT Consultants.

Maintain the asset management inventory database.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems configurations, processes, and procedures.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies.

Conduct user training sessions and develop user-friendly guides to help employees better utilize IT resources.

Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.

Facilitate data termination and hardware recycling program.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Diploma or degree in computer science, business operations or related field.

1 3 years of experience in an IT support or coordination role.

Solid knowledge of IT systems, networks, and related technologies.

Familiarity with troubleshooting, backup systems, and cybersecurity practices.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver projects on time.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Valid drivers license.
