Project Name:
Digital Office Experience and Boardroom as a Service Procurement
Project Scope:
The resource will support the creation of two new service offerings. The digital office experience involves implementing a managed print service, and the Boardroom as a Service project focuses on modernizing video conferencing services.
Duties:
- Develop procurement and contracting documentation to meet business objectives through a transparent, fair, and efficient open procurement process.
- Assist in developing recommendations, including resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, and policy implications for procurement and contracting methodologies.
- Produce and package procurement deliverables for presentation to support teams, steering committees, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the procurement aspects of multiple projects, project managers, and governance.
- Collaborate with leadership to define a project plan that outlines objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, resources, risks, benefits, and budget related to procurement.
- Document and report project status against objectives, milestones, budgets, and resources, ensuring closure of procurement-related issues.
- Support project scheduling, resource estimation, and work plans for completing procurement tasks.
- Provide guidance to resources on priorities and prompt delivery of procurement tasks.

- Laptop or desktop to be supplied.
Working Hours:
- Standard hours: 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).
- Work must be conducted from within Canada due to network and data security considerations.
- Primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings (expenses for travel, accommodation, and meals are not covered).
Notes on Location:
- The role is primarily remote, with potential office attendance 1 day a month. The province will provide notice for in-person meetings or work sessions.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Relevant post-secondary education in supply chain, procurement, business, or related fields (minimum 2-year diploma).
- Participation in large, complex procurements.
- Experience in business writing and executive/senior management communications.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes, trade agreements, and competitive bid law.
- Experience managing RFPs and procurement processes in organizations of similar complexity.
- IT procurement process experience (e.g., PQR, RFI, RFC, RFP) in public sector settings.
Nice to Have:
- Leadership or facilitation experience.
- Experience conducting/facilitating sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience independently handling RFPs, NFRPs, RFQs, RFIs, negotiations, supplier feedback, and contract execution.
- Ability to translate requirements into solicitation documents.
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Familiarity with vendor negotiation in NRFP processes.
