The Position:

Summit Search Grouphas been retained by a local, well-established and community-oriented insurance brokerage on the recruitment of their next Branch Manager Insurance to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of its retail locations. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine leadership, operational oversight, and client engagement in a setting that values collaboration, initiative, and long-term relationship-building.

As the Branch Manager Insurance, youll play a key role in cultivating a positive and professional team environment while ensuring that customer service remains at the forefront of the branchs mission. In this role, you will set the tone for team culture, guide staff performance, and work closely with leadership to identify growth opportunities. Your efforts will directly impact client satisfaction, branch efficiency, and the achievement of both individual and organizational goals. This is an ideal position for a proactive, licensed insurance professional who takes pride in mentorship, accountability, and driving results.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Set a positive example for staff through supportive and engaged leadership.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to ensure workflows meet company service standards.
  • Support onboarding by coordinating training plans and conducting first-day orientations.
  • Participate in hiring processes and provide feedback on performance reviews.
  • Foster accountability, solution-focused thinking, and continuous improvement.

Client Service & Sales Growth

  • Manage a personal lines book of business, including high-value home insurance.
  • Guide staff in actively promoting cross-selling to increase client policy counts.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and track growth and retention goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities through referrals, promotions, and local outreach.
  • Step in on complex risks and ensure proper market placement of applications.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee branch scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage based on skill and licensing.
  • Maintain office inventory, supplies, and ensure completion of daily funds balancing.
  • Ensure branch appearance remains professional and organized.
  • Communicate key updates from internal and industry meetings.
  • Recommend and implement workflow improvements that enhance service and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 General Insurance License
  • IWS Certification
  • Experience with a broker management system (BMS); Epic is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven leadership and relationship building skills.
