Reports To: Prevention Team Lead

Job Purpose:

The Prevention Team Lead Assistant will provide support to the Prevention Team Lead by assisting with the development of a file management system, reviewing child files, and managing the transfer of these files to Cold Lake First Nations. This role involves supporting client assessments, coordinating community engagement. The position also supports administrative functions and ensures that proper safety and reporting standards are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Client Support: Assist with needs assessments, case plans, and helping families navigate services.
• Prevention Programs: Support prevention programs and collaborate with community partners to reduce risks for children and families.
• Crisis Intervention: Help manage emergency cases and coordinate resources.
• Community Engagement: Build community trust and coordinate access to resources like housing, legal aid, and healthcare.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, assist with data entry, and support scheduling and meetings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of Cold Lake First Nations community.
• Familiarity with CYFEA, FLA, DECA, PSECA, and Bill C-92.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Records Check and criminal background check.
• Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

• Office-based work environment, with occasional travel as required.
• Standard work hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM (Monday to Thursday), 8:30 AM 2:00 PM (Friday). Some on-call, evening, and weekend work may be required as part of the 37.5-hour workweek.

Salary:

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
