We are hiring a reliable Rotary Die Cut Supervisor for one of our clients located in Cornwall, ON
Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Rotary Ward 1500 66x113, 3 Colour Die Cutter.
- Lead and mentor operators and assistants to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Ensure proper machine setup, operation, and maintenance to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor production goals and implement process improvements to enhance output.
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolve machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain quality control by inspecting finished products and ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
- Track production data, machine performance, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and other departments to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.
- Complete and submit maintenance requests when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
- Adhere to Quality standards and procedures.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Experience:
- 2 -3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the corrugated industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Expertise in flexo printing and die-cutting is essential.
- Experience operating Rotary Die Cutters (preferably the Rotary Ward 1500 66x113).
- Familiarity with Flexo Folder Gluer equipment is an asset.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Forklift License Required (must attain and maintain).
Working Conditions:
- This job is performed in an industrial environment, and generally requires 75% standing, 25% walking. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling may be required from time to time.
- Regular exposure to dust, fumes, and noise can be expected.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling are required.
Hours of Work:
- 8 Hour Shifts (07:30 – 15:30) Days, Monday to Friday
- Schedule may vary to meet production requirements. Overtime will be a requirement in order to meet unforeseen scheduling and human resource concerns and to respond to equipment malfunctions.
