Viking Landscaping Inc. is seeking Landscaping Labourers to join our team for the 2025 season.

We typically work Monday to Friday for approx. 8-10 hours per day starting at our yard or beginning your day directly on the job site as a Landscaping Labourer.

As a team member at Viking Landscaping, you would assist in maintaining & installing landscapes, working at residential and commercial properties throughout the city of Winnipeg and neighboring communities in the spring summer & fall. Hand Shoveling and machine work for residential and commercial snow clearing can be arranged for continued employment via on-call basis type work for late fall and winter work.

Work performed includes:

- Wheelbarrowing and shoveling.

- Removal of existing grass, plants, and other landscape features.

- Installation of interlocking patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pits.

- Installation of edging, plants, landscape fabrics, rocks, and mulches.

- Operation of various hand tools and light equipment

- Driving a truck and trailer

- Performing general lawn care maintenance

- Digging irrigation lines, maintaining and installing irrigation systems

- Building and designing decks, fences & pergolas

- other duties as assigned

All eligible applicants must:

- Possess a positive working attitude

- Be able to work full time hours

- Be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn

- Work well on a team

- Accept direction and instruction from Foreman or Management

- Be physically fit to perform landscape labor- able to lift 50lbs or more

- Be able to work long days outdoors

- Possess CSA Steel Toe Boots, Hard Hat, Hi-Visibility Vest & Work gloves

- Have a valid class 5 drivers license or Have reliable transportation to and from the shop or job site every day.

Starting wage is $16.50. Wage is negotiable based on experience level; experience is an asset but not required. Willing to train and develop skills.
