Marketing & Communication Specialist – 12-week term position

The Marketing and Communication Strategist will assist the Director of Training and the Director of Membership in developing and implementing marketing strategies to boost awareness and engagement for the Maritime Centre for Construction Learning (MCCL) and Moncton Northeast Construction Association (MNECA) Membership initiatives. This role focuses on managing social media, building the brand, creating compelling content, and fostering effective communication to successfully promote training and membership initiatives among stakeholders and the target audience.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

· Design and implement marketing campaigns to promote the services of MCCL & MNECA across various platforms.

· Identify target audiences and tailor messaging to maximize engagement and participation.

· Conduct research to understand future needs of the target audience within the construction industry.

Communication & Outreach

· Create, schedule, and manage posts on social media platforms to engage followers and promote programs and services.

· Monitor analytics to assess campaign performance and refine strategies.

· Develop email campaigns to share updates, program announcements, and success stories with subscribers.

Content Creation

· Design visually appealing materials such as brochures, flyers, banners, and social media graphics to promote programs and services.

· Develop templates for consistent branding across all promotional content.

· Create engaging videos, animations, and infographics to highlight programs and services.

· Edit video content for social media and other platforms.

· Develop compelling success stories and case studies to showcase organizational impact.

· Write engaging blog posts, newsletters, and web content to highlight programs and services.

Qualifications & Skills

· Studying Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

· Experience in building marketing & communication strategies, or related roles.

· Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva, Mailchimp).

· Expertise in social media platforms and analytics tools.

· Video editing and animation skills are a must.

Preferred Degree:

o Currently studying for a bachelor's degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field.

*Criteria: An individual who is hired by the Employer for a Job during the period set out in the "Calculation of Approved Canada Summer Jobs Contribution Amount" document and who:

a. is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

b. is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27*; and

c. is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

Details: 12-week term position, in-office (297 Collishaw St, Moncton NB) with start date to be determined. Based on 35 hours/per week @ $19/hour Monday to Friday.
