About the Company
Our client is a specialist bookkeeping firm dedicated to supporting law firms (among other industeries) across the GTA. With a growing portfolio of clients, our client is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with 3-5 years of experience, and ideally experience working within the legal sector.
About the Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities for a portfolio of clients. You'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance (including SRA Accounts Rules), and exceptional service delivery.
  • Manage bookkeeping for multiple legal clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journals

  • Process client and office account transactions in accordance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules

  • Prepare and issue client invoices, perform payment allocations, and manage credit control

  • Support clients with month-end and year-end procedures

  • Assist in preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and other financial reports

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing advice and support on financial processes

  • Liaise with accountants, auditors, and legal software providers as needed

  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with client SLAs


What You Bring
  • 3–5 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally with exposure to multiple clients in the legal or professional services sector

  • Experience using legal accounting software such as Soluno, or PC Law

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients

  • Confident communicator, able to build trust and rapport with legal professionals

  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple legal clients

  • Process daily transactions for both office and client accounts

  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow tracking

  • Post journal entries and manage general ledger maintenance

  • Raise and issue sales invoices on behalf of clients

  • Allocate incoming payments and manage credit control processes

  • Generate month-end and year-end financial reports

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and budgets

  • Experience working within a practice or outsourced finance setting is highly desirable
