Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to temporarily support our clients HR operations at their manufacturing site . This hands-on role will serve as a key partner to site leadership and will be responsible for driving core HR initiatives related to employee relations, recruitment, talent development, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly organized, and able to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support site leadership in executing HR strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Manage daily HR operations, including employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and HR reporting.

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly, technical, and professional roles.

  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience.

  • Partner with department leaders on workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist in implementing change management strategies and fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

  • Deliver or coordinate training programs on topics such as compliance, benefits, and leadership development.

  • Act as the main contact for workers' compensation case management and documentation, in coordination with the EH&S Manager.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems.

  • Prepare HR metrics, reports, and insights to support leadership decision-making.

  • Liaise with community organizations as needed to support the company's public presence and employer brand.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and development.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Comfortable working independently while supporting a diverse, cross-functional team.
